Ellicott City, MD, September 22, 2016 – Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman will cut the ribbon at the opening of 18 new apartments and common areas at Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City on September 27 at 10:00 a.m. As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Lighthouse will present a donation to Mr. Kittleman to aid in the restoration efforts of historic Ellicott City. The celebration will continue with a community open house that evening from 5:30-8:30pm.
Open since 2009, Lighthouse Senior Living specializes in assisted living and memory care. The community is located at 3100 North Ridge Road in Ellicott City and features 78 apartment homes. The opening of 18 new apartments increases the community’s capacity to accommodate the demand for affordable senior living in Howard County.
“We are excited to be able to offer more residential options for seniors in Ellicott City, enabling them to stay in the area and enjoy the breadth of amenities in Howard County,” said Amanda O’Neill, Executive Director of Lighthouse Senior Living. “As active members of this community, we also felt we had a responsibility to give back to the on-going efforts to rebuild the damaged historic Main Street and support the local businesses impacted by the tragic and destructive flood,” she added.
From 5:30-8:00 p.m. the Ellicott City community is invited to an Open House celebrating the Grand Opening, which will include live music, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, specialties from local Ellicott City businesses — the Wine Bin and Sweet Cascades Chocolatier — and a chance to win door prizes that include an iPad Mini and tickets to the Ravens vs. Steelers game on November 6th. Anyone who reserves an apartment during the evening will receive a $1,000 credit toward the first month’s rent as well as other special gifts.
Lighthouse Senior Living of Ellicott City is managed by The Time Group and Sage Senior Living, pioneers in the Senior Living industry.
