The Time Group won’t be done developing 520 Park Ave. in Baltimore once it has completed its 171-unit apartment building at the site.
One of the most unusual things about the former Hochschild Kohn warehouse in Mount Vernon is the abundance of parking around the former department store distribution center — something most downtown buildings lack. The entire site, including the warehouse, is three acres and about half of that is surface parking.
Some of that will be used for the apartment building, which also includes a garage. But Dominic Wiker, the development director for Time Group, said the surface parking could be put to better use.
